Local rivals Donard visit Gibson Park today for Orangefields second derby game of the season. Only one change from last weeks game Chris Harvey restored up front to partner Clark Dempster.
Donard kick off uphill and put Orangefield under pressure from the start but good defending from a more resilant and improved Orangefield back four keeps the game level. its 10 mins in before the home side make any impression on the game when O'Neill hits the post with a great effort from 20yrds. Orangefield getting into there stride as Sam McNaul picks out the run of Harvey with a great pass, Harvey takes the ball with a good 1st touch and is through on goal only to be brought down in ths box for a penalty. Dempster steps up to take the kick and puts Orangefield 1 up on 12mins. The goal has settled Orangefield as they have more of possesion and attack down the left with good approach play from Wiliam Richie leading to a corner, keeper tips over a good effort from O'Neill. Quick thinking from Reynolds catches out the Donard defence with a short corner to Richie who whips in a great ball. Dempster rises above everyone to head in his second 2-0 on 20mins. Both teams continued to press for goals with some good individual play, but clear cut chances where kept to minimum through solid defending and the score remained 2-0 at half time.

Orangefield start the second half uphill Richie and Wilson combining well on the left flank to create an opening for harvey who shoots just wide. O'Neill and Craig winning a lot of ball in centre midfield getting good support from Richie and Reynolds on the flanks, Wilson and McNaul pushing forward from full back positions to keep Donard on the back foot. Orangefield make 3-0 on 55mins when Dempster gets on the end of a ball in from Reynolds and hits a low drive into the bottom corner of the net for his hat trick. Orangefield make a change on 60 mins Cunningham on for Reynolds and Quinn on for Dempster. The subs bring fresh legs and ideas to the Orangefield attack as the home team have all the play. Cousins for Craig on 70mins brings plenty of energy to the centre midfield. Cousins combines well with Cunningham who crosses a good ball in for Harvey to go close. Quinn wins the ball in midfield and picks out a great pass for Richie who links well with full back Wilson, Richie gets a great cross in from the by line for Harvey who takes his chance well to make it 4-0 on 75mins. Donard grab a consolation goal at the death when the ref awards Donard a penalty in the 89th min to make it 4-1.

Another soild home performance that keeps Orangefield in the top three, superb hat trick from Dempster who's on fire at the moment and some good individual performances from Richie, McNaul, D'Arcy and Craig but this weeks MOM is full back David Wilson.
